The Ministry Of Visitation. 1.

_*“Now Mary arose in those days and went into the hill country with haste, to a city of Judah, and entered the house of Zacharias and greeted Elizabeth. And it happened, when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, that the babe leaped in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. Then she spoke out with a loud voice and said, “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb!

Luke 1:36-42. NKJV.

It has been said repeatedly without losing it’s power that Jehovah is a God of definite purpose, plan and objective, especially as it pertains to whatever instruction given in the scriptures, it must be understood as full of purpose and then approached and done as it should. It is when we do it the way God intends, that we will have the blessings we supposed to have.
In this discourse, we are concerned about our fellowship together as God’s children in an atmosphere of a ministry that I called the ministry of visitation! Many don’t know it is a worthy way to serve the body of Christ, thus, they do it haphazardly and instead of the body being blessed, the opposite is the case, more harm is done.
The Angel Gabriel refer Mary to visit Elizabeth who had gotten pregnant to hear her testimony which will help her to believe the incredulous message he brought her that she will conceive the Messiah! The visitation is to help Mary’s faith and at the same time bolster her faith for save delivery and destiny of the unborn child.
When Mary got there, immediately she said peace upon this house, at the sound of her voice in Elizabeth’s ears, three things happened in quick succession to Elizabeth;
1. The baby within her leaped for joy at the sound.
2. She was filled with the Holy Spirit,
3. She prophesied.
Elizabeth said in the prophesy that she was fortunate that the mother of her Lord visits her, Mary’s visit is a huge blessing to her, not a curse, _*for it left her with something that keeps her going, and into the future of the unborn baby!*_ She probably must have rehearsed this particular incident in the ears of John the Baptist as he was growing up, this definitely influence John’s relationship with the Lord Jesus later, though John himself had a personal encounter with Jehovah like other Prophets.
