And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.

Galatians 6:9-10. NKJV.

A young lady by the name Marianne Adlard, was confined to bed due to sickness, though she felt sorry for herself for inability to do anything for God in her Church, but the Holy Spirit told her she could at least pray, so she started praying for people. In 1872, she saw a newspaper report of DL Moody works in America and asked God to send him to her Church, praying day and night, for months, and God answered her prayers in an unusual way.
DL Moody traveled to America secretly for a conference where he won’t be speaking, but her pastor accidentally bumped into DL Moody. He then invited him to preach in her Church, and a mighty revival broke out. According to the written history, In a period of 10days, 400 people were coming to Christ daily, which is 4000 in 10days.
When she could not do fanciful things, because of her health condition, she believed that God hadn’t forsaken her and settled for what she could do for God and her Church, even while confined to a bed! This is ministry. Your present unfavorable condition is not an indication that you’re not important and that you cannot do anything for God.
You can call it ministry if you like, but everyone has something they should do for God and His people. It is erroneous to think only ministers of the Gospel are called to ministry, no, every child of God has a ministry we should be occupied with; some will build orphanages, some may be Pastor, music or drama ministers, while some will be in media, sports, Doctors, pro life activists, captain of industry, and Politicians. While some will be like Colson who started the Prison Fellowship Ministry. Other service ministries may not look spiritual, but are bringing transformation to millions of people, and many are having encounters with the Lord Jesus through these divers ministries.
