Your Interest Matters!
Do we have no right to take along a believing wife, as do also the other apostles, the brothers of the Lord, and Cephas? I Corinthians 9:5. NKJV.”
Being married does not cure loneliness but finding time for and interest in your spouse does.
Having multiple relationships and friends is neither cure from the feeling of emptiness, but a deliberate choice to enjoy life with those God had graciously put in your life does good beyond medicine!
That’s why people can be in the same room with a spouse but hundred of miles apart in mind! It’s not actually the situation that caused it, but the fact that it’s their choice not to enjoy life with the person that is with them.
Despite the busy schedule of the Apostles of the Lord Jesus, they make efforts to make it up to their wives by taking them around when they can, even accompanying them on the mission fields, despite their highly spiritual mission! They find the time to create time for their spouses, they’re not always on the mountain praying and fasting, their family matters also.
Whatever might be your profession, if you don’t create interest in your spouse, loneliness will set in, and that’s one of the reasons for the increase in divorce cases and all manner of evil bedeviling marriages today.
